Gay Marriage....I get worked up over this.

It’s not Adam and Steve, it’s Adam and Eve” has been a statement that has been made on several occasions by people when asked their opinion of same sex marriages.

As someone who has read the Bible and is religious in every aspect of the word, I do not remember the Bible stating that we should discriminate and distribute hate on others just because they are in love.
The Bible I remember reading says that we should “love thy neighbor as you love thyself.” I also don’t remember the Bible saying that Adam and Steve is not an option. Yes, God says that marriage is sacred between a man and a woman, but He never rules out same sex relationships.
I am by no means putting down my religious belief, I do believe however, that if God didn’t want us to be a certain way, he would have created us differently.

Why is same sex marriage such a big deal? As the United States of America, we to separate church and state. However, we as Americans are willing to make same sex marriages illegal because of the religious aspect of it, yet we are more than willing to marry a man and a woman.

It’s a fault, and what I see as being a blemish on our country that shows how descriminatory we really are. All because of people that are afraid (Yes, AFRAID) of what they don’t understand.

If something scares us, we ban it, we block it out like it doesn’t exist. The people that are affected, they are people too.

Bottom line is this, people search their entire lives for their soulmates, some get lucky and some never find that special someone. For those that are lucky, why would we ruin the rest of their lives just because they want the normal life? We keep them from getting married and growing old with the person they love the most, only because we think that it’s disgusting, repulsive, or abnormal? My question is who is the abnormal one in this situation? The couple that are so deeply in love with each other that they want to get married, or the paranoid people on the sidelines with their typical lives trying their hardest to ruin these peoples lives because they are afraid of what is going to happen if they allow someone to be happy? You decide.
